Massage therapy is one of the oldest forms of therapy for both humans and animals. Forms of equine massage therapy have been performed by the ancient Chinese and Romans as well as Native Americans. Sports massage therapy techniques have kept up with the changing methods of training, treatment, and needs of the horse.
The horse's body mass is comprised of over 60% muscle. The body will strive to heal, repair, replenish, and maintain itself if the right conditions are present both internally and externally. Equine massage therapy is a non invasive way of bringing about the right conditions for healing and overall health.
Our Massage Techniques provide benefits to your horse such as:

Does my horse need a massage? |
There are some common signals horses present when needing bodywork. For instance, if your horse exhibits any of the following behaviors, he/she might just be a great candidate for an equine massage: |
Stiffness or one-sided
|
Resents training / ridden work |
Resents girth or saddling
|
Head tossing |
Above the bit / Behind the bit |
Carries tail to one side |
Cold-backed |
Off stride |
|
| |
Any and all of these behaviors could be signals of muscle soreness or pain, and massage could alleviate or decrease these symptoms
Massages are not just for "feel good, spa-day" moments. Any and all horses can benefit from massage - all ages, all disciplines:
